This Privacy Policy describes how Athlos (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, update your profile, use the interactive features of our App, participate in contests, promotions, or surveys, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us.

We may collect the following types of information:

• Account information (name, email, password)
• Profile information (height, weight, fitness goals)
• Workout data (exercises, sets, reps, weight used)
• Device information and push notification tokens (to deliver notifications you enable)
• App usage information and analytics

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our App
• Personalize your experience
• Generate workout plans based on your goals and progress
• Track your fitness progress
• Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
• Respond to your comments and questions

Sharing Your Information

We do not share your personal information with third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy:

• With vendors and service providers who need access to your information to provide services to us
• To comply with legal obligations
• To protect our rights and the rights of our users

Information Shared with Other Users

Athlos includes social features. Your profile (name, username, photo, and the fitness stats you choose to display), your posts, and the activities you share are visible to other users according to your privacy settings. Photos, comments, reactions, and tags are visible to users who can see the related post. Direct messages are visible to their recipients. You can control profile visibility and activity sharing in Settings.

Data Security

We implement reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information as described in their respective privacy policies:

• RevenueCat for subscription and payment processing
• Supabase for secure data storage and user authentication
• OpenAI for AI-powered workout generation, personalization, and coach chat. Messages you send to the coach are processed by OpenAI to generate responses
• Apple/Google for in-app purchases and app analytics

Health & Fitness Data

Your workout and fitness data is used solely to personalize your experience and improve our service. We do not share your health or fitness information with third parties for marketing purposes. You can request deletion of your fitness data at any time by contacting us.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your permission, Athlos reads data from Apple Health, such as step counts and workouts recorded by other apps and devices. This data is used only to provide App functionality, such as tracking your daily activity, syncing workouts, and personalizing your training. We never use Apple Health data for advertising or marketing purposes, never sell it, and never share it with third parties for their own purposes. You can revoke Apple Health access at any time in your device’s Health settings.

Subscription and Payment Data

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not store your payment information directly. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage your subscriptions through your device’s settings.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us. Note that some information may be retained for legal compliance purposes even after account deletion.

Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

California Privacy Rights

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion of personal information, and opt-out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Your Choices

Account Information: You may update, correct, or delete your account information at any time by logging into your account or contacting us.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the App under Settings, then Delete Account. Some information may be retained for legal compliance purposes after deletion.

Changes to this Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of the policy.
